DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Develop and produce
mechanical/structural design
data required for the proper
manufacture, assemble and
installation of aircraft
modifications and
components.

Research and review
engineering data (drawings,
reports, manuals, etc.)
defining aircraft structure
of systems to determine the
most efficient method of
modification or alteration.
-
Develop preliminary
engineering and analysis
necessary to substantiate
aircraft modifications.
-
Interface with Avionics
engineers, EMTEQ production
facility, sheet metal
fabricators, and machine
shops to ensure that all
designs meet their intended
function and the establishes
FAA regulatory criteria.

Convert limited modification
specification information
into engineering design data
foe use in part
manufacturing and
installation.

Conduct detailed audits and
surveys on site at customer
facilities to develop
aircraft design concepts and
specifications through the
interpretation of
preliminary specifications
and customer interface.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED:
-
Proficiency with CAD
software (AutoCAD, Solid
Works or Pro/E) and MS
Software.

Strong Mechanical
Background.
-
Knowledge of stress
analysis.
-
Knowledge of failure and
fatigue analysis.
-
Knowledge of FAA
requirements and STC process
Knowledge of designing with
sheet metal.
Awareness and concept of Quality
Management, Design for
Manufacturability, Total Quality
Control and awareness of AS9100.
Experience in design of
mechanical/structural equipment.
Must be able to work in a fast
paced environment which
emphasizes handling multiple
priorities.
Proven Leadership, teamwork,
organizational and communication
skills.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-
BS Degree in Engineering or
related scientific field, or
equivalent combination of
experience and coursework.
-
1 to 2 years of experience
in the engineering field,
preferably dealing in the
design of modifications,
repair and maintenance of
transport category aircraft.

Must be proficient in all
aspects of 2D computer
generated drawing for metal
fabrication using AutoCAD
(2002 or later version
software of comparable PC
based CAD program) including
3D modeling and solids.
