RESPONSIBILITIES: This person
will project manage and perform
design and engineering
calculations for large
mechanical machinery and heavy
plate weldments.
Will utilize Solid Works,
SmarTeam (PDM) and in-house
Request for Product Development
(RFPD) system.
Analyze and document, design,
implement, test and troubleshoot
mechanical and structural
components and assemblies for
large mechanical equipment and
supervise other engineer and
designers as assigned to a
project.
May include gearing,
shafting, bearing, mechanical
linkages and components,
hydraulics, air systems,
lubrication systems,
ventilation, heating,
heavy-plate weldments and steel
casting.
This person must interface
with Manufacturing, In-house and
Field Product Support, Quality,
and Sales, as will as other
departments to research problems
and formulate solutions in a
concurrent engineering
environment.
Various tools will be
utilized including CAD, FEA,
Microsoft Office, and other
In-house.
This position will organize,
plan and execute projects to
meet schedules within
established budgets.
May involve some travel both
domestic and international.
QUALIFICATIONS;
This candidate must be able to
create designs in CAD,
preferably SolidWorks using
solid modeling, through to
detail manufacturing drawings
with proper tolerances and weld
details. Be familiar with
drawing standards and practices
for mechanical and structural
components and assemblies. Be
experienced in the design and
analysis of heavy machinery
and/or large plate weldments;
especially fatigue analysis of
various mechanical components,
casting and structures. Strong
analytical and communication
skills and required. Must be
able to lead and develop the
technical skill set of an
engineering team. |
