Mechanical Product Engineer

Madison, WI

The Product Engineer will provide engineering support to existing product lines, including direct influence on design. The individual will contribute toward cost, quality and productivity improvements working with Sales, Operations and Supply Chain teams.

Qualified individuals will possess the following attributes:

Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or equivalent related engineering experience.

Ability to manage concurrent projects independently in a team environment.

Strong organizational, written, oral and professional skills.

Computer skills of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD 2000. Pro-E experience a benefit.

Understanding of basic hydraulics with ability to apply knowledge to product design.

Key responsibilities of this individual are:

Manage engineering projects as assigned for improving product cost, quality and delivery.

Address and resolve production and customer problems related to product design.

Review new products to insure they meet expectations before release. Communicate existing design issues to product development project engineer.

Responsible for quality improvement and cost reduction of assigned products.

Maintain positive working relationship with operations team members.

Effectively communicate with customers, distributors and sales personnel.

Other duties which generally require independent, self-directed activity as may be required or assigned.
