Enterprise Architecture translates corporate business strategy and enterprise needs into appropriate business, information, solution, and technical architectures. A typical EA program creates current and future state business, information, solution, and technical architectures and delivers transition plans to move from current state to future state. EA drives the IT strategy and planning process to balance current tactical decision making with long-term strategic objectives.

An Enterprise Architect provides overall strategic vision, though leadership, guidance, and mentoring to both IT leadership and technical teams to effectively support the corporate business strategy. This work requires a great deal of collaboration with business stakeholders, IT leadership, domain architects, and other members of the EA team.

An EA must be an excellent written and oral communicator to express architectural concerns to a broad audience ranging from corporate executives to IT technical staff, including those with opposing or contradictory viewpoints. An EA must be a strong strategic and analytical thinker able to see beyond the obvious, recognize patterns or connections between situations that are not obviously related, uncover key or underlying issues in complex situations, and understand the big picture without being caught up in diversionary details.

The ideal candidate has a broad and deep technical background with extensive IT system, process, data, and integration architecture experience, outstanding communication skills, and excellent business judgment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

4-years Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent. 7 years overall experience in IT leadership and architectural experience in IT (either software or infrastructure) establishing technology direction to meet business needs on complex enterprise-wide systems.

The successful candidate will have an ability to think both strategically and analytically, have excellent written and oral communication, strong project management and risk assessment skills and a familiarity/knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (Zachman, TOGAF, FEAF, etc.)

The Enterprise Architect will have the understanding and ability to apply standard architectural patterns such as MVC and Layers, modeling languages such as UML and ERD and experience with visual modeling tools.
