IS Technical Trainer - Java based Technologies

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify, create, customize, and perform lead-off training and mentoring of newly hired IS associates to rapidly gain performance.
• Create ongoing advanced technical training in small time increments that will raise IS development competencies.
• Assess training needs for IS associates and record/track skill levels.
• Determine group composition by skill level and select appropriate books to facilitate technical book groups.
• May lead and direct the work of others.
• Determine tools and materials to quickly enable adoption of course material.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7 years in a technical field with either teaching or consulting experience: considered expert in at least one of the following: Java, OO, ESB, SOA.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Technical degree/certifications.
• Develop new knowledge in technical areas, must keep current and be a self-learner.
• Must be able to foster and maintain partnerships within the department.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
