IT Business Analyst - Kronos

Under minimal supervision, work with the business and IT to define, analyze, document, measure and implement a variety of business requirements and process improvements. Assist in identifying and presenting alternative solutions for the business to consider. Act as liaison between business and IT for solution development and enhancement. Assist in identifying and defining potential business process improvements. Analyze additional system options and identify the business impact of interfacing systems. Responsible for sharing solutions and acquired knowledge with other Business Analysts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. As a member of the Information Technology Information Solutions department Shared Services team, you will be responsible for analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation and integration of new and enhanced functionality within the Kronos environment.

2. Work closely with application developers and other business analysts to design a solution that meets the needs of the internal or external customers.

3. Work with users to identify business scenarios for acceptance testing and to ensure adequate training is conducted.

4. Participate in developing alternative solutions for the business to consider.

5. Create or revise process documentation including functional specifications, change management documentation, and user guides in accordance with IT standards and procedures.

6. Work with IT business consultants to seek out process improvements.

7. Design and execute systems test plans to ensure fail safe integration of a program into a production environment.

8. Support the scope and change control of each project to ensure project milestones are not impacted without approval.

9. Build product manufacturing knowledge and business relationships.

10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong Kronos configuration skills.
• Possess a good understanding of HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance and shop floor reporting systems.
• Experience with relational database technologies, preferably Oracle.
• Experience and knowledge of SQL is a plus.
• Ability to sort through costumer requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Developing understanding of the capabilities of installed business systems.
• Strong understanding of the system development life cycle (SDLC).
• Good time management and organizing skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with a diverse group.
• Solid project management skills.
• Good customer service/user support skills.
• Solid understanding of business processes.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in IT required.
• Two plus years experience within a Kronos environment preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of Peoplesoft version 8.9, SAP 5.0, and Kronos WorkForce Central 5.0 is a plus..
