Contract,
Contract-to-Direct and Direct
Placement Overview |
|
Depending on your criteria, Key will have three
types of opportunities for you
to consider in your job search.
Based on what your preferences
are and what you are open to,
Key will work with you to find
employment through one of the
three options below. |
|
|
|
Contract
Assignments – The word
‘contract’ can sometimes be
misleading. In the staffing
industry, a contract position
refers to a job opening that is
not planned to be direct or
permanent at the outset of the
assignment. The client has the
option to consider hiring a
contract employee if they
desire, but the duration is
stated up front and there is a
target ending date for the
assignment. |
|
|
|
As a
contracted employee, Key
Technical Professional Services,
LLC is your employer, and you
receive your pay and benefits
through Key but work at the
client location. Assignment
durations typically range from
several months to several years,
and the actual duration of a
particular
assignment varies depending on
the specific client situation. |
|
|
|
Contract-to-Direct
Assignments – This is when a
client has the intent to fill a
position permanently but chooses
to start off with a contract
employee. Once the employee
successfully completes 1040
straight time hours on
assignment, the client has the
option to hire the employee
directly without paying any sort
of placement fee to Key
Technical. |
|
|
|
There are a variety of reasons
that clients choose to utilize
the contract-to-direct program,
the most common being to make
sure that they have the right
person based on work performance
and overall “fit” into the
company and working environment. |
|
|
|
As with any contract assignment,
employment is with Key Technical
Professional Services, LLC until
the conversion takes place to
direct status with the client
company. |
|
|
|
Direct
Placement – This is where
our client asks us to help them
identify a qualified employee
and we represent you for a
direct position with the client.
Upon successful interviewing and
acceptance of a direct
employment offer by you, the client
pays Key a one time placement fee.
There is no actual
employment for you with Key Technical.
The timeframe from the initial
interview to an offer averages
approximately three weeks, and
usually there are multiple
interviews with several
different client contacts. |
